Terms of use
The short version: CalcShot is a study and homework tool, its answers can be wrong, and credits you've used can't be refunded.
Who can use it
You must be 16 or older to buy credits, create an account or use the service.
What it is for
CalcShot helps you study and work through homework on a TI-84 Plus or TI-83 Plus. You are responsible for following the rules that apply to you, including those of your school, your course, and any test or exam you take. Many of them don't allow calculators that connect to a network. If you're not sure, ask before you use it.
Answers can be wrong
Answers come from AI models (from OpenAI, Anthropic or Google). They can be wrong, incomplete or badly formatted, even when they look confident. Check anything that matters.
Trial, plans and credits
- A new calculator gets a 30-day trial. It starts with the first request or when the calculator is bound to an account, whichever comes first. It covers the standard models, up to 100 requests a day.
- A plan covers the standard models for 30 days (same daily limit) and adds a bundle of credits. A plan bought while another is running starts when that one ends.
- Credits pay for everything else: premium models, deep reasoning, and standard models outside a trial or plan. Each purchase of credits expires 365 days after it was made. The oldest-expiring credits are used first.
- Prices and the number of credits each request costs are shown on the dashboard before you use them, and can change. A change never takes away credits you already have.
- Credits are non-refundable once used. If you want a refund for credits you haven't used, contact support.
Limits
To keep the service running for everyone there is a limit on requests per calculator per minute and per day. The service can pause for everyone for the rest of a day if its total spending limit is reached.
Suspension for misuse
We can block a calculator or close an account that is used to abuse the service, get around its limits, resell access, attack it, or break the law. A blocked calculator shows "revoked" and can't make requests.
Your account and devices
Sign-in is by email link; keep your email account secure. If a calculator is lost, revoke it from the dashboard so it can't use your credits.
Changes
We may change these terms. The changelog lists changes to the service.
